If you reschedule or withdraw within the 14 days of the course you will incur course fees for the first class and subsequent dates. You are responsible for all charges and any legal fees associated with an attempt to collect a debt if your employer declines to cover student fees. You will not be allowed to enroll in any future courses until account balance is paid in full.The easiest way to avoid this is just come to class! Our instructors are wonderful and are passionate about learning and will work with you if needed. If you have any additional questions please contact our accounting department.

The AHA does not allow us to return the online course once the key is activated therefore all online sales are final. On a positive note, most of our online course can be accessed up to 24 months after you open. This allows you to continue to refresh your knowledge base. We suggest reviewing the HeartCode BLS, ACLS & PALS every three months.

Please contact our office and ask to have one of our AED sales representatives call you to discuss AED options or to provide an onsite emergency assessment at your office, clinic or patient facility. There is no charge for this service. Remember prompt bystander CPR and Defibrillation saves lives!

It is recommended that you have at least six months clinical experience in an emergency care setting before taking the course. Is is assumed that you will also have an understanding of initial trauma care terminology and are familiar with standard emergency trauma equipment.

To prepare for the course please read and study the BLS Student Manual paying particular attention to the critical concepts noted in red and the skills testing sheet on page 27 & 39. Your instructor will evaluate your performance based on the criteria found on these sheets. The AHA Summary of Steps of CPR for Adults, Children and Infants is located in the BLS folder under the documents tab.

Before the course, please read the 2011 AHA ACLS Provider Manual and bring the manual to class with you for use and reference during the course. You will need to complete the Precourse self-assessment with a score of 80% or higher. Please print and bring to class with you or you will not be allowed to attend the course. Make sure you are proficient in BLS skills before attending the course. You need to present a current AHA BLS card in order to attend the course. If you need help in completeing these requirement please contact our office. You may purchase a self-directed online BLS course and demonstrate your skills during the ACLS course. During the course you must be able to identify and interpret rhythms during practice as well as during the final Megacode evaluation station. You must also know the drugs and doses used in the ACLS algorithms. You will also need to know when to use each drug based on the clinical situation. Pay particular attention to the critical conceptsboxes that appear in red in the 2011 AHA ACLS Provider Manual. These boxes contain the most important information that you must know. Also pay attention to the testing checklists in the Appendix. Your instructor will use these checklists to evaluate your skills. Please make sure you are proficient in BLS skills. A current American Heart Association BLS card is required in order to attend the class. We offer a self-directed online BLS course if you need to complete this requirement prior to class. Your instructor will evaluate your skills based on the criteria specified in the checklists. Please practice identifying and interpreting core ECG rhythms. If you have difficulty with pediatric rhythm identification please contact our office to inquire about our self-directed online course on rhythm recognition. Study basic pharmacology and know when to use which drug. The written exam is closed-book and you must score 84% or higher. You must be pre-approved to affiliate with HeartTraining, LLC Training Center. All items must be completed before entry into an instructor course: 1. Submit HeartTraining, LLC employment application and resume 2. Submit AHA instructor candidate application form 3. Submit instructor agreement prior to enrollment. 4. Submit a copy of your current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Card and current provider card in ACLS or PALS depending on the course you wish to attend. You will be expected to be proficient in your skills and a subject matter expert to teach our courses. 5. Letter of recommendation from a supervisor, another instructor or someone who has knowledge of your teaching ability. Instructors must be certified by HeartTraining, LLC in order to teach for our parent company or one of our affiliates. Current instructor cards from another Training Center will need to be relinquished at the time of the instructor course. All instructor courses are 8 hours in length and require online course work prior to attending the live course. The cost for each course is $485 and must be renewed every two years. The course fee includes the required online course work, discipline specific instructor manual, course completion card and required monitoring. Instructors will be monitored within the first 90 days and every 6 months thereafter for quality assurance at our main office in Kansas City, Missouri. Monitoring is not considered hours worked and as a result you will not receive compensation. Instructor cards will not be issued until successful monitoring is completed within 90 days after completion of the course. HeartTraining, LLC will not release course completion cards to instructors to conduct their own courses unless they receive approval to become a Training Site under HeartTraining, LLC.

The first step is to submit a Training Site Application and Administrative Self-Review. A Training Site fee will be assessed and is renewable every two years pending successful monitoring every 6 months by our Training Center Coordinator or one of our Training Center Faculty members. Once the self-review is submitted a member of our staff will contact you to arrange an initial interview. We do require a non-refundable $100 application fee.

We can provide onsite training for your staff at your facility. Please provide the number of students you wish to train, which discipline and how many classes you wish to offer in a 12 month period. HeartTraining, LLC will invoice at Net 30. We will provide the course completion cards, textbooks and the discipline specific instructors. All we need is a room large enough for 12 students and two break-out rooms large enough for 6 students to conduct the course. A minimum of 6 per class is required for us to conduct an onsite course. We will also require a secure location to store our equipment when class is not in session.

Payments are due at time of service. After 30 days, accounts will incur a 1.5% late fee. After 60 days, accounts will be put on hold and any additional services will not be provided until the balance is paid. A late fee will be assessed. After 74+ days, accounts are subject to collections.
